Polaris is a UK General Insurance industry-owned provider of core and widely used digital trading technology. Our purpose is to support the industry to digitally trade efficiently across Personal and Commercial Lines and for over 30 years we've been supporting the UK & Irish markets to do this. Polaris’ products are used by over 125 General Insurance organisations to build, control and distribute digital insurance products.  Our four core products are: ·      Standards, the digital trading language that covers 20 main insurer products. It simplifies the build and effective distribution of insurance products across the industry ·      ProductWriter, our market-leading rating engine that powers 250+ million quotes a day, generating over £10 billion GWP of insurance each year ·      imarket, the commercial insurance solution that connects 2,000 brokers to insurer products and trades over 550,000 policies annually, generating over £450m GWP. ·      Live-Chat, allows brokers to have their questions answered by relevant insurer departments from within their digital platforms in a secure, auditable manner. 438,000 chats were initiated in 2025 using imarket broker systems and insurer extranets. Each year Polaris benefits from more than 1,000 hours of insight from the various industry advisory groups that it manages. It invests a significant proportion of its earnings combined with the industry insight it receives, into projects and R&D for the benefit of the industry.
