About Polish Wheelchair Rugby - PWR

Rugby na Wózkach powstało w 1997 w Kanadzie. Dyscyplina początkowo nosiła nazwę MURDERBALL (ang. „mordercza piłka”). Sport łączy w sobie elementy rugby, hokeja na lodzie oraz koszykówki. Z rugby łączą go spektakularne zderzenia – w przypadku rugby na wózkach: zderzenia wózków! To sport dla osób z jednymi z najcięższych niepełnosprawności. Nasz slogan brzmi: "POWER OF FAIR PLAY!" W Polsce jest 12 klubów i około 150 zawodników czynnie uprawiających ten paraolimpijski sport. Od 2020 stajemy się członkiem World Wheelchair Rugby -WWR oraz Polskiego Komitetu Paraolimpijskiego. RUGBY NA WÓZKACH TO JEDEN Z NAJBARDZIEJ WIDOWISKOWYCH SPORTÓW PARAOLIMPIJSKICH!
