Pono Roots counseling center at A Family Tree is led by Kristine Altwies, licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. A Family Tree has served families and children (as Hawai'i International Child) since 1975. With over 30 years of experience, Kristine developed Pono Roots in response to the many good, and many struggling people she's been honored to know in her work with families. Pono Roots is a group counseling practice. Our therapists use family systems theory, as well as other evidence-based, supportive therapeutic interventions to help clients meet their goals.
