Poonthottam Ayurvedasram hospital was founded by Vaidya. P.M.S. Raveendranath in 1989. He was initiated into Ayurveda by his father who is a renowned Sanskrit teacher belonging to a family of ardent believers of Ayurveda. Begining as a very small facility in a rented building, the hospital now can accomodate close to 50 patients at a time.
