About Port of Cromarty Firth

The Port of Cromarty Firth is a leading Scottish Trust Port and the statutory harbour authority for the Cromarty Firth, located in Invergordon in the Highlands of Scotland. One of the UK’s most naturally sheltered deep-water harbours, the Port of Cromarty Firth plays a vital role in supporting energy, offshore wind, marine services, cargo handling and cruise operations. Spanning 46 miles of coastline, the Cromarty Firth is home to five key marine facilities which together support a wide range of maritime and energy activity. These include the Invergordon Service Base and Saltburn Pier, both owned and operated by the Port of Cromarty Firth, alongside major facilities at Admiralty Pier, Highland Deephaven, and Nigg Energy Park. Across these sites, businesses and service providers deliver specialist support for IRM operations, subsea services, offshore energy, cargo, cruise vessels, anchorages and marine logistics. As a Trust Port, the Port of Cromarty Firth has successfully operated for more than 40 years, reinvesting all profits back into the Port, the Cromarty Firth and the local community. The organisation works to improve, safeguard and develop the Cromarty Firth, supporting sustainable economic growth, responsible marine management and long-term employment across the region. Today the Port of Cromarty Firth continues to play a key role in Scotland’s energy transition, supporting the renewables sector, offshore wind development and marine operations, while also welcoming international cruise vessels and enabling global trade. Our vision is simple: to create choice and opportunity for all.
