About Precious Plastic Plymouth

We are a small, low-tech, creative plastic recycling project which aims to engage and educate around plastic waste and environmental issues. We have exciting shredding and injection moulding machines which can take waste plastic and form new products. We use this creative, hands-on experience to engage people in conversations about the values and problems of plastic. We aim to inspire people to reduce the unnecessary plastic in their lives by suggesting alternatives and encouraging re-use of plastic items. We aim to bust myths surrounding recycling and breakdown barriers which stop people from recycling. We aim to ensure that plastic is disposed of properly and does not enter the environment, especially as we are Britain's Ocean city. Our ethos is around learning through play and our attitude is playful and quirky. We deliver strong messages but in a lighthearted, creative way.
