Primum Risk Strategies, Inc. is a Next Generation Health Benefits advisory that helps companies from 2 to 2,000 employees reinvent their benefits offering to guarantee lower costs, richer benefits, and patient safety using strategies and information not available from brokers and insurance carriers who are part of the status quo. We help company leaders understand that overspend on health benefits is a business problem that can't be solved by an "insurance solution". The current "system" of health providers, insurance carriers, and the brokers they indirectly employ repeatedly tell us that employers have no control over health care cost increases. In fact, employers CAN control benefits costs if they take a different view to see that their second or third largest business expense should be managed with the same Supply Chain Management principles they already employ in other large business expenses. We help identify the misalignment of financial incentives in their current benefits program and provide tools to transform all incentives in the plan to serve the employer and patient instead of third party middlemen who bring no value to the equation.
