About Protostar Labs

Protostar Labs develops innovative technologies that enable autonomous, efficient, and reliable missions - from orbit to the most demanding environments on Earth. We design and build fault-tolerant onboard data processing solutions that bring intelligence and autonomy directly to satellites. Our technology helps missions save bandwidth, reduce operational costs, and enhance reliability through efficient in-orbit data handling and edge AI. Our innovation extends to optical payloads and camera systems, engineered to integrate seamlessly with our onboard processors. This provides complete end-to-end solutions for space imaging, analysis, and autonomous operation. While space remains our core focus, our technologies also serve terrestrial sectors such as defense, robotics, and industrial automation, where precision and durability are equally critical. Driven by innovation and guided by engineering excellence, Protostar Labs is shaping the future of autonomous mission technology, in space and beyond.
