About Pure Street Photography®

Pure Street Photography® is a globally renowned community passionately committed to the timeless art of street photography. Founded by world-renowned street photographers Dimpy Bhalotia and Kamal Kumaar Rao in 2020. With over 216K Instagram followers and 300K+ across all social media platforms, PSP has become a beacon of creativity and support for street photographers of all levels. Sharing her inspiration behind PSP, Dimpy Bhalotia says: "When I first joined social media, I was eager to get featured as much as possible. It helped me understand which of my photographs resonated with the audience. Some images performed well, while others didn’t, allowing me to filter and identify my strongest work. The audience, in a way, became my best critic, unconsciously curating my portfolio and giving me the confidence to use those selected images for developing my portfolio for awards and exhibitions. As I went through this journey, I wanted to help other photographers experience the same growth. That’s how PSP was born. Initially, we ran a hashtag and featured selected photographers, but with thousands of talented artists, most would only get featured once or twice a year. That wasn’t enough. To bridge this gap, I launched PSP Membership, offering curated features after a portfolio review, evolving into a thriving street photography community. Each month, I curate and feature three standout images. This process helps members recognize their strongest work—photos they later use for websites, book covers, workshop banners, and even award submissions." More than just a platform, Pure Street Photography is a grand, immersive digital exhibition—a hub for learning, visibility, and artistic growth. PSP has established itself as a symbol of credibility and notability in the street photography world. With its open-door philosophy, PSP is committed to empowering street photographers, PSP actively supports its members in getting featured, landing exhibitions, and publishing books.
