The story of PureJewels began in Nairobi in 1950, when master jeweller Bhanji Gokaldas established a jewellery atelier rooted in generations of Indian goldsmithing tradition. In 1975 the family brought this heritage to London, laying the foundations for the PureJewels brand. Today PureJewels specialises in high purity gold, diamonds and precious gemstones, creating design led collections that combine cultural storytelling with disciplined jewellery engineering. A central part of the company’s mission is the preservation of heritage jewellery crafts designed to last. Traditional techniques such as die stamping, wire work and hand finishing remain fundamental to the atelier’s approach. Alongside its collections, PureJewels is actively engaged in shaping the future of the jewellery industry through responsible sourcing, supply chain transparency and digital innovation, including pioneering work on Digital Product Passports in collaboration with the Edinburgh Assay Office.
