The Chorus provides a positive performance-based community for gay and bisexual men/transmen and their allies in South Central Indiana. It fosters talent, fellowship, pride, and understanding through excellence in vocal music. The Chorus has defined four guiding principles in support of the mission: To support the educational development of men who desire to improve their singing ability and musical knowledge, through vocal music training, rehearsal, and performance; To educate the general public in and promote the development of choral music and other art forms through concerts and community performances; To promote awareness and understanding of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community through these performances; and To serve as a cultural ambassador to and for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community. Quarryland is a member of GALA Choruses, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization serving the field of choral music. The mission of GALA Choruses is to provide leadership and inspiration to the Lesbian and Gay movement through excellence in the choral arts.
