About Queensland Community Care Network

Queensland Community Care Network Inc. has supported older people and volunteers since 1990. We develop and deliver programs that reduce loneliness, strengthen social connection, and help older people maintain wellbeing whether they live in aged care or in their own home. Living in aged care or with limited mobility can be isolating. Many older people are no longer able to drive, easily visit family, or enjoy regular social contact. Our programs respond to this by connecting volunteers with older people to build genuine, long lasting friendships and meaningful community connections. Our programs Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) Funded by the Australian Government. We connect trained volunteer visitors with older people living in residential aged care. Volunteers usually visit for around one hour a fortnight, offering companionship through conversation, shared interests, and regular social contact. The 100 Plus Club A fun and inclusive club for people aged 100 years or older. The club hosts events and creates opportunities for centenarians to connect and socialise with peers. The 100 Plus Club relies entirely on donations and fundraising support. Gen Pals brings generations together through letter writing, helping build understanding, empathy, and meaningful connection through the power of the written word.
