Originally a sole proprietorship focused on geotechnical engineering, R&M has evolved into a 100+ person multi-discipline firm to meet the needs of our clients. R&M specializes in cold region design and has devoted our practice to becoming experts in the environmental and logistical challenges that influence designs in Alaska. From offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau, R&M provides civil, structural, waterfront and geotechnical engineering; geology; hydrology; transportation and land use planning; public involvement; environmental; land surveying; GIS; right of way; construction administration; special inspections; and materials testing.

Founded in 1969 by Jim Rooney and Ralph Migliaccio.
