About Rap Radio Africa

Rap Radio Africa is an internet radio station promulgating all elements of the Hiphop Kulture with a focus on Africa, with 90% of our content coming from within and 10% from Europe, Asia & North America. Our shows include live/recorded, brand new music, old school favourites, talk; history, podcasting, video blogging, concerts and festivals. Rap Radio (as it was initially called) was founded by Ikenna "Bionic" Mbah (formerly known as "Czar") in November, 2003. What started out as a Hiphop radio show on Coal City FM 92.8 where we had a vision to play dope rap tracks as options for "fans of Hiphop" is fast dwindling. After having “Rap Radio” on air for four years, he got a vision to expand. Now, here we are. Rap Radio Africa intend to "infotain" (inform & entertain) a world as well as unite us with keen oneness to understanding each others rap tastes being that we are a diverse continent with people of "Kulture" scattered all over the universe, specially also introducing "the most intelligent genre" to new potential listeners from across other races and gender bringing hearts, minds and ears to our own “kulture” in the Motherland. Bionic, an artiste, established OAP (Radio Personality), Copywriter, Marketing Executive and Producer has been busy helping dope, new, independent, underground artists realize, recognize and achieve their dreams for years since inception and still going strong. He began writing rhymes in secondary school (high school), Kaduna (Northern Nigeria) in 1989 after when he got introduced to the dynamic duo of Ed Lover & Dr. Dre (not "The Chronic") a year before, in his first year. He continued to hone his now budding skills when his mother who was serving in the Nigerian Army got transferred out & moved to the East (Owerri, Nigeria) where he linked up with friend and rhymer Steve Anasoh (popularly called Tipsy Dogg)...
