RDefine develops specialized technologies and scientific services to advance pre-clinical research, with a strong focus on animal welfare and methodological robustness. By embedding ethical and scientific principles into product design, RDefine helps research institutions and industry partners reduce variability, improve reproducibility, and increase the translational value of studies. Our services include animal models of human disease, preclinical in-vivo and ex-vivo studies and scientific consulting, complemented by proprietary technologies such as the award-winning HaPILLness Kit, a less-invasive dosing system that minimizes stress while maximizing reliability. RDefine is a spin-off of the University of Coimbra and Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, founded in July 2023 and incubated at Instituto Pedro Nunes, Coimbra.
