Our objectives are to: -Provide Nursing care, Medical care Physiotherapy and other medical services where necessary for SCD patients (Children) -Provide Nutritional treatment support for malnourished children -To help in the acquisition of necessary medical equipment for diagnosis and management of SCD. -Provide online support group and interactive web community for SCD patients. -Coordinate and supplement efforts in the treatment of sickle cell disease (SCD), Malaria and Nutritional awareness programs in Zambia that emphasises early detection and management of these conditions. We are currently running 3 projects which include: 1. Hydroxyurea Project for SCD patients – UTH 2 Malaria projects – Giving free coartem at kanakatapa RHC – Chongwe 3. Malnutrition – supplement AO7 at UTH in treating Severe acute malnutrition (SAM) These 3 conditions are top cause of morbidity and mortality in the Zambian children hence the reason we have these projects. We want to make a difference in the lives of our children so that they may grow up into healthy adults one day.
