About Readington Reformed Church

Rooted in Faith. Grounded in Community. Open to All. Readington Reformed Church has been a cornerstone of central New Jersey life since 1719 — making us one of the oldest continuous congregations in the United States and the oldest Dutch Reformed Church in Hunterdon County. Founded by Dutch settlers along the banks of the North Branch River, our congregation has worshipped, served, and grown through more than 300 years of American history — from the Revolutionary War to today. Our historic 1864 church building, nestled in the heart of Readington Village, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and stands as a testament to the enduring faith of this community. We are part of the Reformed Church in America — the oldest Protestant denomination with a continuous ministry in the United States — and we carry that heritage with both humility and joy. But we are far more than history. We are a living, welcoming congregation — a community of believers who gather every Sunday at 9:30 AM to worship together, serve our neighbors, and support one another through every season of life. Our commitment to community extends beyond our walls — as an active participant in the Readington Area Starfish Food Pantry, we believe that faith in action means showing up for those in need, right here in our own backyard. We host events that bring the broader community together, from Women's Ministry breakfasts to concerts that fill our sanctuary with music. Whether you have deep roots in this area or are just finding your way, you are welcome here. 📍 124 Readington Road, Readington, NJ 08870 🕊️ Sunday Worship | 9:30 AM 🌐 readingtonreformed.org 📘 Facebook: @readingtonreformed Over 300 years of faith, fellowship, and community — and we're just getting started.
