Rebound Advisory helps business owners, directors and management teams navigate financial stress and distress. We work with small and medium enterprises across Australia and Asia-Pacific, typically carrying $5m to $100m of secured debt, to stabilise operations, rebuild performance and negotiate better outcomes with lenders. Founded in 2023, Rebound was built on a simple premise: the people who built a business deserve genuine advocates in their corner when things get difficult. Not a committee. Not a rotating cast of junior staff. Two senior advisers who have sat across the table from every major bank in the country and know how these situations actually get resolved. Engagements are led jointly by Brendan Richards and Claire Gaffney. Brendan brings 30 years of restructuring experience, including six years as a Partner at KPMG leading their Melbourne restructuring practice and nine years as a Partner at Ferrier Hodgson. He is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and GAICD, with experience as a board director and chairman. Claire brings more than 25 years across restructuring, insolvency and banking, including senior roles at KPMG and as an Associate Director at ANZ, where she advised agribusiness clients and lenders across multiple states. We get to the bottom of what is really driving a business, financially and operationally. We build integrated financial forecasts and 13-week cash flow models. We identify sustainable debt levels. Then we advocate directly with secured lenders, whether that means restructuring facilities, securing interest-only periods, or negotiating debt forgiveness. We also undertake sell-side mandates for owners looking to exit on the best available terms. Every engagement is led by Brendan and Claire personally.
