About recost

ReCost is the unified API observability platform built for modern development teams. Drop in our Node.js or Python SDK and get instant visibility into what every API call across your stack actually costs, broken down by provider, endpoint, frequency class, and sustainability footprint. Our VS Code extension goes further with AST-powered static analysis, scanning your codebase before you ship to surface N+1 patterns, unbounded loops, cacheable requests, and cost hotspots. ReCost is AI-forward by design: an MCP server exposes your full cost and telemetry data directly to any AI assistant or agent, so your tools can reason about API spend the same way your engineers do. Whether you're optimizing a production system or reviewing a PR, ReCost gives you the cost context you've been missing.
