About Rescue Democracy International - RDI

Rescue Democracy International (RDI) is a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening democratic values and sustainable development across communities, focusing on the Democratic Republic of Congo. Through our innovative blend of democracy promotion and agricultural development initiatives, we empower local communities to build resilient, democratic institutions while supporting sustainable livelihoods. Our multifaceted approach encompasses youth leadership development, voter education, local advocacy, and agricultural support programs, including our groundbreaking soil amendment initiative. At RDI, we believe that true democratic transformation happens from the ground up, soy we work closely with grassroots organizations, farming cooperatives, and young entrepreneurs to create lasting change. Our commitment to democratic principles extends beyond traditional governance to include economic empowerment, ensuring that communities have the voice and the means to shape their future. Through strategic partnerships and community-driven programs, RDI continues to pioneer innovative solutions that bridge the gap between democratic aspirations and sustainable development.
