About Rescue Mission for Street Life - RMFSL

Rescue Mission for Street Life – RMFSL is a child protection organisation delivering trauma recovery for the successful reintegration of children and caregivers in fragile settings. The organisation operates under a single, non-negotiable institutional rule: trauma recovery before reintegration. Children are not reintegrated into families, schools, or livelihood pathways based on urgency, placement availability, or service timelines. Reintegration decisions are taken only after recovery indicators are demonstrated, sustained, and verified over time. RMFSL delivers its work through ThriveWell™, a structured, trauma-informed system that sequences child recovery and emotional regulation first, caregiver readiness and capacity second, and guided reintegration third. This sequencing is governed through ThriveMeasure™, RMFSL’s outcomes and decision framework, ensuring reintegration decisions are evidence-based, documented, and non-discretionary. The model operates within defined safeguarding standards, supervision protocols, and reintegration thresholds. Progress is tracked through routine observation, case documentation, and post-reintegration follow-up to ensure stability is sustained beyond placement. Since inception, RMFSL has supported over 1500 children, caregivers, and youth, and is scaling its systems toward a strategic goal of reaching 100,000 individuals and families by 2030 through national and global partnerships. RMFSL exists to strengthen child protection systems by restoring the step most often skipped: verified recovery before reintegration, because sustained healing enables stable family reunification, meaningful engagement in education, and durable livelihood outcomes.
