About Resource Recovery Coalition of California

The Resource Recovery Coalition of California (RRCC) is a trade association representing collection, recycling, and organics management companies serving more than 50 cities and counties across California. For more than 50 years, RRCC members have provided essential waste and recycling services that protect public health, support local economies, and advance environmental stewardship. Many of our members are third-, fourth-, and fifth-generation family businesses rooted in the communities they serve. RRCC works with state and local policymakers, regulators, and stakeholders to advance practical solutions that strengthen California’s waste management and recycling systems. In partnership with cities and counties, our members invest in infrastructure and innovative technologies that increase recycling, divert organic waste from landfills, and produce valuable resources such as renewable energy and compost. RRCC members are integral to the waste management and recycling systems that California communities rely on every day.
