TheJobsMapAbout Rete Italiana Rimozione Carbonio (RIRC)
The Italian Carbon Removal Network (RIRC) was created to fill a strategic gap in Italy’s path to climate neutrality: the absence of a clear vision and dedicated tools for Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR), as a complement to emission reductions. Our mission is to build a national carbon removal ecosystem that is scientifically robust, environmentally credible, and industrially competitive, contributing to net-zero emissions by 2050 and thereafter. We connect research, businesses, institutions, finance, and civil society to turn Italy’s strengths – engineering excellence, agricultural and manufacturing supply chains, infrastructure, and significant geological storage potential – into concrete projects and policies.
