About Richard Shephard Music Foundation

The Richard Shephard Music Foundation aims to bring the joy of music to disadvantaged children in Yorkshire and beyond. Our activities seek to boost confidence, wellbeing and aspirations for the children and young people we work with. The Foundation was established in April 2020 to recognise and build on the work of Dr Richard Shephard. As composer, conductor, teacher, administrator and performer, Richard contributed more to the musical life of Yorkshire than anyone of his generation.
