About Rights of Women

Founded in 1975, Rights of Women are the only charity dedicated to providing frontline legal advice to women experiencing violence against women and girls (VAWG) across England and Wales. We also campaign for access to justice and safety for all women. Our vital services aim to provide women with the legal advice and information they need to understand and use the law and their legal rights. We ensure that, at some of the most difficult times in their lives, women don’t have to face the complex legal system alone. Our Impact: 300+ women in England and Wales supported through our free legal advice lines each year. 500000+ visitors provided with impartial expert advice through our website annually.
