The mission of RISE Infrastructure Materials Laboratory is to develop novel construction materials for next generation infrastructure that withstands deterioration related to extreme loading, environmental conditions, and multi-hazards. The general research topics include the following: - Multi-scale concrete material design, modeling, and characterization - Alternative and supplementary cementitious materials with low carbon footprint - Multifunctional fiber-reinforced cementitious/ceramic composites - Energy storage and large scale carbon sequestration - Machine learning and additive manufacturing
