About Rishi Valmiki Eco School

Since 2015, Rishi Valmiki Eco School (RVES) has been a beacon of hope and transformation in Mumbai, dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty through inclusive, quality, and experiential education. What began with just nine students has today evolved into a thriving institution serving over 800+ children from slum communities in Goregaon and tribal settlements around Manori. Our mission is rooted in a simple but profound belief: every child, irrespective of their socio-economic background, deserves the right to learn, to dream, and to thrive. In a world where access to education often defines the future, we aim to level the playing field for children who come from homes burdened with financial hardships, social inequities, and unstable learning environments. Our Four-Pillar Educational Model 1) Academics: Following the SSC Board curriculum, we focus on conceptual clarity, inquiry-based learning, and experiential activities that ignite curiosity and encourage critical thinking. 2) Extra-Curricular Development: True learning goes beyond textbooks. Through arts, music, sports, drama, and events like Talent Hunts, we provide platforms for our students to discover and express their unique talents. 3) Remedial Education: Many children we serve lack access to academic support at home. To bridge learning gaps, especially in foundational literacy and numeracy our remedial classes offer individualized attention and tailored teaching strategies. This ensures no child is left behind, regardless of their starting point. 4) Nature, Ecology & Conservation: Situated in the lush coastal and green belts RVES has a deep connection to nature. Environmental education is not a chapter in a book for us, it is a living responsibility. From beach clean-ups to tree planet. At RVES, education is not a privilege, it is a right, and a responsibility. We invite collaborators, CSR partners, and changemakers to join us in shaping a generation that is curious, capable, and compassionate.
