About Rising Leaders Center

Rising Leaders Center was founded in 2023 to develop and energize social impact leaders while driving transformative change to communities around the world, especially those on the African continent. We believe leadership is not a position, but a practice and an attitude. Our guiding philosophy, to use the words of Grace Lee Boggs, is “Transform yourself to transform the world.” We support leaders’ development as whole people so they can lead themselves, their teams, and their communities with integrity and clarity. To do so, we use the Integral Coaching methodology in our coaching and programming. Our work centers the importance of communities as partners and changemakers in creating a better tomorrow. RLC supports leaders of all backgrounds from all types of communities to rise to become their best possible self. RLC supports leaders to engage differently with themselves, their organizations, and their communities, enabling them to thrive. By identifying their purpose and the barriers they are facing, leaders are better equipped to re-center and use their talents, even in the face of obstacles, disruptions, and challenges. Our signature program, the Collective Rising Leadership Institute, is available to changemaking organizations in addition to several on-demand coaching pathways for individuals, teams, organizations, and networks. Presently, the Collective Rising Leadership Institute serves leaders of mission-driven organizations in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
