About Roger Bates Properties

For more than 40 years I’ve worked in the property market around Basildon, helping homeowners understand how selling a home really works. Many people assume selling is simply about listing a property and waiting for offers. In reality, the outcome is often shaped much earlier — through pricing strategy, presentation, buyer psychology and negotiation. Through my videos and content I explain how the process works so that Basildon homeowners can make clearer, more confident decisions when the time comes to sell. I regularly share advice on topics such as: • pricing strategy and buyer behaviour • why the first weeks of marketing matter • how negotiation really works • common mistakes that quietly cost sellers money My aim is simple: to help homeowners understand the process before they feel under pressure to make decisions. If you’re thinking about selling a home in Basildon — even if you’re just exploring the idea — I’m always happy to talk things through.
