About Rolly Tasker Sails Thailand Co. Ltd.

Rolly Tasker Sails is a globally active sailmaker, founded in 1949 by Australian sailing legend Rolly Tasker (1926 to 2012). He was Olympic medalist, dinghy World Champion and highly successful in offshore and big-boat racing. He left more than 340.000 nautical miles in his wake during his offshore racing career, gaining an unparalleled wealth of experience and understanding of the conditions that sails are often exposed to. Built on this foundation, Rolly Tasker Sails, operating from the world’s largest purpose-built sail-loft in Phuket, Thailand, is the leading global sailmaker for offshore and performance cruising sails. Delivering best value for money is the company’s core ambition. Sails are made combining the most modern production methods with highly skilled, traditional hand-craft for the detailing. Rolly Tasker Sails is the preferred brand of sails among serious ocean and bluewater yachtspeople as well as for casual cruising sailors all around the world. During his active racing career, Rolly Tasker used to design and make not only his own sails, but also spars and hardware. Consequently, Rolly Tasker Sails also offer highly professional services in spar making, rigging, plastic injection moulding, and rope braiding at their modern facility in Phuket: “There are not many things that we don’t make ourselves”, is what Rolly used to say which is true to this day. Rolly Tasker Sails also has a large chandlery for deck hardware. The international team of sail and rigging experts at Rolly Tasker Sails can set up any yacht with a complete new rig including spars, stays, ropes, fittings and, of course, sails. The team is headed by CEO Sven Cornelius who was a close friend to Rolly and was personally trained by him to carry on and develop the legacy into the future. The crews of yachts passing through the global cruising hub of Phuket in Thailand are always very welcome to visit the Rolly Tasker Sails loft and chandlery, a true one-stop shop for all matters.
