About Rooted Rising Initiative

Rooted Rising stands at the intersection of women’s rights, climate justice, and innovation, it was born from a deep belief that stories have the power to change the world. Through our work, we spotlight the experiences of women and girls — from those impacted by environmental degradation to those facing challenges around maternity health, gender equality, and FGM. We use storytelling, technology, and innovation to raise awareness, debunk false narratives and inspire action. But beyond telling stories, we also teach young people how to use these same tools — to educate, advocate, and create impact in their own communities. Rooted Rising is more than an initiative; it’s a movement of women and youth using creativity to drive change and build a more just and sustainable world.
