About Rotary Club of Greater Bend

The Rotary Club of Greater Bend was chartered in 1976 by a group of dedicated and resourceful business leaders who saw Rotary as a way to create positive change with a focus on youth. We are people of action who demonstrate Rotary’s motto – “Service Above Self.” Today our members are current and future leaders in the community. About a third are women. In the past year we have added several recent retirees and young professionals to our roster. The common thread is a desire to build connections and perform service in our community and around the world. Our club members regularly participate in hands-on service projects, from supporting local food pantries to cooking meals at Ronald McDonald House and building tiny homes for homeless veterans. Our club also partners with clubs around the globe to participate in world community service projects. In recent years we’ve completed several projects near Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. We also raise money and contribute funds to local college scholarships and other worthy causes. Whether you like to get your hands dirty or write checks, you can make a positive difference in the world as a member of the Rotary Club of Greater Bend.
