About Ruaha Energy

Ruaha Energy | Powering Rural Africa Beyond Electricity Ruaha Energy drives economic development in rural Sub-Saharan Africa by delivering more than power. We design and deploy renewable mini-grids (solar, hydro, hybrid) and build ecosystems that enable communities to thrive with: ⚡ Clean Energy Access – reliable electricity for homes, schools, clinics, and businesses. 💡 Productive Use Equipment (PUE) & Microfinancing – tools like milling machines, cold storage, and smart cooking stoves made accessible with affordable finance. 📲 Digital Tools & Smart Infrastructure – mobile-first platforms that connect farmers and entrepreneurs to data, markets, and global supply chains. With active projects in Tanzania’s Rungwe District and a growing pipeline across Africa, our work is supported by leading development partners including Innovate UK, REA, and REPP. Our mission is clear: ✨ One million customers, one village at a time. We don’t just light up villages—we help them leap ahead, creating jobs, raising incomes, and building resilient, sustainable rural economies.
