About Rugby Club Yverdon

PRESENTATION Founded in 1974, Rugby Club Yverdon quickly rose to the top of Swiss rugby. The only club in the Nord Vaudois region has distinguished itself throughout its history with numerous national titles (LNA, LNB, Women’s LNA, Swiss Cup, etc.). Today, firmly established among the best clubs in Switzerland after several years of rebuilding, RCY has equipped itself to meet its ambitions and must be regarded as a serious contender for the National LNA Championship title. Youth development is also ensured through the strength of our rugby academy, which has remained steadfast throughout its long history. Led by a team of passionate individuals, it currently includes nearly 40 young players, ranging from U6 to U19. Finally, RCY has recently created two new sections aligned with emerging trends in modern rugby: a Rugby 5 (“touch rugby”) section and a Rugby 7 (“Sevens”) section, an Olympic discipline for both women and men since the Rio Games (2016).
