About Ruharo Mission Hospital

Ruharo Mission Hospital is a faith-based private not-for-profit hospital belonging to the Church of Uganda under the Ankole Diocese. The hospital's primary objective is to provide holistic health services that improve the quality of life for individuals in Ankole Diocese and beyond. The hospital's mission is to provide general and specialized health services that are accessible, high quality, and holistic while witnessing Christ through service. Ruharo Mission Hospital envisions a community that is healthy and productive and glorifies God. The hospital's motto is "Continuing Christ's Mission" (John 10:10). Both the Uganda Protestants’ Medical Bureau (UPMB) and the Ministry of Health accredit the hospital, with a capacity of 150 beds. We are located in Ruharo, Mbarara City. We provide both clinical and tertiary services, and these services define our core features and activities. The hospital's services include eye care, disability/rehabilitation, and general services. Ruharo Eye Centre (Eye Department) is renowned for its cutting-edge reputation in providing eye care services in the region.
