About Rural Bank of Rizal, (Zamboanga del Norte), Inc.

Founded on August 29, 1975, by eleven entrepreneurs led by Atty. Alberto P. Concha (1975-2011), Rural Bank of Rizal (ZN), Incorporated commenced its journey with a starting capital of P1.5M. The SEC Registration, issued on December 7, 1976 (Registration No. 71056), and the BSP Certificate of Authority, granted on December 27, 1976 (No. B805), marked the official recognition of the bank. Operations kicked off on January 17, 1977, along National Highway, Mapang, Rizal, Zamboanga del Norte, with Judge Porferio E. Mah assuming the role of the first manager and overseeing a team of six employees. The bank secured authorization from BANGKO SENTRAL NG PILIPINAS (BSP) and became a member of the PHILIPPINE DEPOSIT INSURANCE CORPORATION (PDIC). Known as RBR, Rural Bank of Rizal (ZN), Inc. expanded its presence by inaugurating its initial branch in Dipolog City on November 18, 1996, strategically located in Central Public Market, Rizal Avenue, Central Barangay. Transforming into the Head Office on January 8, 2010, with the construction of an 8-storey tower at Rizal Ave., Cor. Gonzales St, Central Brgy., Dipolog City, RBR showcased effective governance and management. The bank further broadened its horizons by establishing corporate offices and branches in Zamboanga Peninsula, Negros Occidental, and the Visayas region. As of January 2024, RBR operates 15 branches across diverse areas in Mindanao and the Visayas Region.
