About Rutgers Association of Philippine Students (RAPS)

The Rutgers Association of Philippine Students (RAPS)' mission statement is as follows: To unite students within the Rutgers community by establishing solidarity on the basis of a common heritage or an interest in Filipino heritage and to build and support a community through subgroups, programs, and informational dialogue for our diverse members. RAPS is a member of FIND Inc.'s District III network, or Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue, which promotes unity and cooperation of Filipino/Filipino-American students at higher education institutions. RAPS also consists of several subgroups and programs that highlight and promote Filipino/Filipino-American culture, allowing students to connect with each other across campus. Supported by the Asian American Cultural Center (AACC) at Rutgers, RAPS aims to build community and inclusivity by celebrating a common interest in Filipino/Filipino-American heritage.
