About Safe N Happy Periods

Safe N’ Happy Periods is a not-for-profit social initiative towards a shame-free and pain-free period through education, awareness, and advocacy. Our mission is to create an environment of trust where they can ask questions without any hesitation, and dismantle the myths associated with menstruation and prevailing practices for menstrual waste disposal, environmental impact, and concerns. We conduct workshops for girls over 9 years of age across different socio-economic sections of society, which we have gradually extended to other genders as well. We hope to de-stigmatize the topic of menstruation and make it more gender-neutral. Safe N' Happy Periods is a project of AMODINI Foundation, a registered charitable trust under Mumbai Public Trust 1950 (Regn No. / Pan No. ) having an 80G exemption. It is empaneled with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for the CSR initiatives. With Menstrual Education, awareness and education are also created on the POSH Act 2013 (Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace) for college students, schools, and workplaces.
