About SaferShift

Every breach has a beginning. And it almost never starts with code. It starts with a person. Tired, distracted, moving fast. An email that looks almost right. A moment where instinct should have fired but didn't. Not because the instinct wasn't there. Because nobody had ever given it the right story to hold onto. I've spent years sitting inside organisations watching this play out. Smart people. Good people. People who genuinely wanted to do the right thing. But the training they'd been given? It spoke a different language. A language of compliance, of frameworks, of hypothetical scenarios that felt nothing like a Tuesday afternoon at a busy desk. So I built SaferShift. Not another platform. Not another module to click through. A different approach entirely, one that starts with the oldest and most powerful technology human beings have ever had. Story. Because here's what the threat landscape actually looks like when you strip away the acronyms. It looks like trust being exploited. It looks like urgency being manufactured. It looks like someone, somewhere, understanding human nature better than we do and using it against us. Phishing isn't a technical problem. It's a storytelling problem. The instincts people need to stay secure already live inside them. They just haven't been connected to the right narratives yet. Our work is translation. Taking the real, complex, evolving world of digital risk and rendering it in human terms that land, that stick, and that quietly rewire the decisions people make every single day. Not through fear. Fear fades. Not through compliance. Compliance gets clicked through and forgotten. Through narrative that makes people feel something, recognise something, remember something when the moment arrives. I work with CISOs and security leaders who are done with awareness programmes that perform well in audits but fail in inboxes. If you believe that changing behaviour starts with changing the story, I'd love to connect.
