The Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS® was founded in 1886, and has grown to nearly 7,900 members. We are dedicated to promoting the dream of homeownership with the highest level of professionalism and integrity. More Than A Century of Service For more than 130 years, the Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS® (SPAAR) has been dedicated to promoting the dream of homeownership with the highest level of professionalism and integrity, through the four pillars: Advocacy, Communication, Professionalism and Community Outreach. Better Agents The Association serves as a resource to its members, providing education through easily accessible, highly-valuable and fairly-priced educational opportunities, either through live or online courses. SPAAR offers relevant educational programs, which will enhance the members’ ability to conduct their businesses in an ethical and professional manner. SPAAR promotes and participates in the National Association of REALTORS® REP (REALTORS® Excellence Program) to enhance the quality of services offered to buyers and sellers. Better Communities The Association coordinates and promotes community service programs to engage members and to create a positive impact in our communities. In 2013, SPAAR created the Community Engagement Award to honor a member, who goes above and beyond in various community groups and projects. SPAAR has donated $100,000 or more each year since 2018 to organizations that help improve their communities. Recipients have included Great River Greening; Housing First Minnesota Foundation; Mapping Prejudice; Meals from the Heart; Rondo Avenue, Inc.; Rondo Center for Diverse Expression; and Safe Summer Nights.
