SakaTaka is building the digital infrastructure for Africa’s circular economy, starting with the foundation: waste collectors. We provide operators with the tools to run efficient, transparent, and scalable operations, digitizing collections, tracking customers and payments, optimizing routes, and capturing real-time data on material flows. This operational layer doesn’t just improve efficiency, it creates the verified data backbone that powers the entire ecosystem. On top of this, SakaTaka enables Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance for manufacturers facing increasing regulatory pressure across the region. By aggregating and validating collection data from our network, we help producers demonstrate traceable recovery, meet reporting requirements, and turn compliance into a structured, repeatable process. Complementing both is our recycling marketplace, which connects collectors directly to recyclers and buyers, improving price discovery and ensuring materials stay within the circular economy. By linking collectors, producers, and recyclers through a single platform, SakaTaka transforms waste from a fragmented cost center into a connected, data-rich value chain, unlocking higher revenues for operators, reliable supply for industry, and auditable ESG outcomes for partners and cities.
