About Salesian Lay Missioners

The Salesian Lay Missioners (SLM) program offers Catholic men and women the opportunity to serve the young and the poor as missionaries around the world. Rooted in the Salesian charism, SLMs live out the joy of the Gospel through education, evangelization, and community service. For over 35 years, SLMs have followed St. John Bosco’s mission of accompanying youth with a spirit of reason, religion, and loving kindness. Whether teaching in schools, leading youth programs, assisting in vocational training, or supporting community development, SLMs bring hope and opportunity to those they serve.
