Salion Energy develops high-power aqueous sodium-ion battery technology designed to bridge the seconds-to-minutes power gap in critical infrastructure. Our technology targets environments where instant power continuity is essential, including AI data centers, industrial facilities, and automated systems that cannot tolerate even brief power interruptions. Salion focuses on energy storage solutions optimized for rapid response, operational safety, and reliability—serving applications where traditional batteries prioritize energy density and legacy buffering technologies were not designed for modern power demands. Using a sodium-ion chemistry with an aqueous electrolyte, Salion aims to enable a safer and cost-effective approach to high-power energy buffering. Founded in 2024 and built on peer-reviewed academic research, Salion collaborates with leading universities and industry partners to advance its technology toward scalable battery systems. Salion is supported by the Israel Innovation Authority and the RACAH Nano-Tech Venture Fund.
