About Saltaire Festival
Every year in September, the village of Saltaire, located on the outskirts of Bradford, hosts the Saltaire Festival. This highly acclaimed event is a 10-day celebration of the arts, community, and the village's remarkable history, offering a rich program of over 100 events and attracting a crowd of more than 60,000 attendees. The festival was first established in 2003 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Sir Titus Salt's creation of Saltaire. It is now run by a registered charity, with a team of dedicated volunteers, including dynamic entrepreneur Ian Andrews-Swailes as the chair. The festival has become a much-anticipated fixture in the region's cultural calendar, attracting both locals and visitors from West Yorkshire and beyond to come together and celebrate Saltaire.
