About SaltWise

Plant-Based, Low-Sodium Salt for a Healthier Future It all started with a devastating wake-up call. A close family friend—far too young—suffered a stroke. In our search for answers, doctors pointed to a high-sodium diet and lifestyle as the culprit. At the same time, our parents were struggling with high blood pressure—something we had always assumed was just a part of aging. But suddenly, the truth was undeniable: too much sodium wasn’t just a risk for the young or the old—it was a silent threat to everyone. It was harming the people we loved, and we couldn’t ignore it any longer. We had to find a better way. Our search led us to Padilla Bay, in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, where we found something incredible—the Salicornia plant. More than just an ingredient, it was a revelation. Naturally salty yet lower in sodium, rich in minerals, and free of microplastics, Salicornia was everything we had been looking for. Even more remarkable, it thrived in saltwater, requiring no freshwater to grow—a win not just for our health but for the planet. With every new discovery, our determination grew. Farmers, scientists, and chefs joined us, believing in the vision. What began as a personal quest evolved into something much bigger—a movement for better health and more sustainable choices. Saltwise was born from this passion. Today, our teams in San Francisco, Seattle, and beyond are working hard to bring this natural, sustainable salt alternative to the world. Because reducing sodium isn’t just about health—it’s about making choices that nourish our bodies, protect our planet, and help future generations thrive. Saltwise isn’t just a brand. It’s our promise—to do better, be better, and help others do the same. Thank you for joining us in rethinking salt, redefining health, and making a difference—one small choice at a time.
