About Samawa Living

Samawa is short for “samawati,” which refers to the vast blue of the skies and turquoise waters of Africa’s tropical paradise, Zanzibar. Located inland, southeast of the island, Samawa is a 30-room palm-fringed boutique eco-resort, as vibrant as its surroundings. With a focus on sustainability and integrating into local culture, our guest experiences will be centered around wellbeing. The resort’s convenient location is the perfect base to explore the island’s stunning beaches, watersports, colorful markets and the historic Stone Town.
