About Samtök sveitarfélaga á Vesturlandi

The association of municipalities of West Iceland (SSV) is a central hub for regional development. The main role is to promote and support lively communities, vibrant cultural scenes and strong economic activity in the area. We act as a bridge between government, municipalities and private sector. We offer assistance for everyone interested in building up the economy, culture and community of West Iceland. One of our key projects is overseeing Uppbyggingarsjóður, a public fund that provides grants for innovation, culture and business development.
