About Santa Cruz Hillel

Santa Cruz Hillel is a home away from home for Jewish students at UC Santa Cruz, Cabrillo College, and CSU Monterey Bay. Santa Cruz Hillel supports students in their Jewish journeys during a transformational period in their lives. We help them explore what it means to be Jewish to them and how they want to connect to their Judaism. Whether it’s a student’s first Jewish experience with their Jewish roots, or a continuation of their Jewish trajectory, Santa Cruz Hillel is there to be a friend, a guide, and mentor, and place to build connections with fellow Jewish students. Santa Cruz Hillel's mission is to spark unexpected connections and cultivate shared experiences that inspire students to explore how their own identity connects with Jewish values, community, and Israel. We envision a diverse, interconnected, and vibrant Jewish community and world, enriched by Santa Cruz Hillel students and alumni.
