The independent business arm of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, serving as a holding company for both wholly-owned tribal businesses and joint ventures. Wholly-owned by the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, STI operates under a Section 17 federal corporate charter that provides separation from the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians government functions and structure, while retaining all of the benefits afforded to the Tribal government as whole.
