What inspired the establishment of SEAT AFRICA? World over, nations and institutions generally do a good job of formulating goals and designing strategies to achieve those goals. The challenge comes in successfully executing the strategies. In the wake of rapid global socio-economic changes that create a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) environment, the successful execution of strategy has become heavily dependent on: i) the capacity to correctly read or anticipate critical developments occurring in the operating environment; ii) the ability to interpret those developments in relation to a business, institution, or nation, as well as iii) the skill to swiftly make strategic adjustments where necessary. This has become the major determinant of winning or losing. SEAT AFRICA is a platform for sharing: i) insights on critical developments occurring, or likely to occur in the operating environment, ii) likely impact of those developments on businesses, institutions, or nations, iii) the necessary possible adjustments to cope with those developments, iv) Case studies / Strategy implementation experiences, and v) Strategy academic researches.
